Race Planning Checklist
Starting a new event? Here are a few questions to ask:
- What is your goal? Raise money or raise awareness?
- Who is your target audience?
- Do you have a goal to grow your event each year?
Once you have your goal, target, and growth plan.....
- Set the date! (PBR can help you pick a date that will maximize participation for your event)
2. Pick your location and create your course. PBR can help you determine what works bes
for your event.

4.Set up Registration - We can help you!
-PBR uses Runsignup.com as our platform. This is the best route to automatically
connect to our timing platform without .csv files. We will set up your registration
while giving you complete control of your dashboard and all financial information
is in your control.
5. Sponsorships
6. Determine schwag - giveaway item or t-shirt, awards, medals, and other goodies.
7. Secure volunteers - we can help you set up the registration platform to ensure
organization. Make sure you have went through the whole process to determine
your needs.
8. Meet with your timing team! We will go over your race day plans, train you on packet
pickup procedures, and talk about expectations of each other. We will have a contract
to help outline, but it's always best to meet up again!
Race Day!
On Race day there are a few things to be prepared for:
- Packet Pickup - bib/chip distribution
- National Anthem?
- Start your race as close to on time as possible
- Volunteers in place?
- Water stops/water at finish
- Post race snacks
- Results/Awards ceremony
